1977 - 2018


HIL Limited acquires Parador

HIL Limited, a subsidiary of the Indian CK Birla Group, acquired Parador from its previous main owner , NORDHolding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH, in July 2018. "We are pleased to have with HIL Limited a strategic investor by our side who wants to continue the long-term growth course and the successful business model," explains Lubert Winnecken, CEO of Parador. HIL Limited is the market leader in the building material segment in India.


New innovations and BODEN Magazine

Parador brings a number of innovative products with the right feel for technology, colours, finishes and designs to the market. A fascinating customer magazine is developed with BODEN. Preparation is also underway for the launch of ClickTex and Eco Balance PUR in 2014. The ›New Classics Design Edition‹ emerges following close collaboration with the architect and product designer, Hadi Teherani. Export accounts for 50% of sales.


Parador launches the new “Eco Balance” range with laminate and engineered wood floors manufactured in a predominantly sustainable way.

As part of the cooperation with the renowned Plant-for-the-Planet.org initiative, 23 enthusiastic children plant a tree in the middle of the Parador exhibition stand, and the company organises a children's academy in parallel with Domotex.


Parador now also sets standards in the outdoor sector with extraordinary screening and decking.

Edition 1 laminate flooring is awarded two design prizes: the German Design Council has given the Interior Innovation Award to “Wave” by Zaha Hadid, whilst the AIT Award has gone to “Cèdre” by Jean Nouvel. The claim “living performance” will accompany the Parador brand from now on.


The positioning “luxury flooring concepts” is confirmed within the product range in the Edition design collection and the Identity laminate flooring product.

The innovative digital print technology, Artprint, sets standards in the brilliance of laminate decors. Edition 1 receives the coveted AIT Award and the red dot design award.


The new generation of laminate and engineered wood flooring sets standards with numerous new technical features.

As part of further internationalisation, the brand is massively expanded in Great Britain and the Netherlands. Export share is 45%.


The introduction of the Trendtime design collection strengthens the position of Parador as the innovation leader within the industry. Export share is 34 %.


Parador wins a place once again in Germany’s TOP 100 most innovative medium-sized companies.

The first solid wood flooring in the world with click connection is included in the Parador product range. The convergence strategy increases the brand recognition level in Germany to 35%.


Parador completes its flooring range with the market launch of solid wood flooring products.

With ClickBoard, the jointless design panel for walls and ceilings, the company brings its latest world premiere to the market. The Parador Marketing Centre is rebuilt and re-opened as the Parador Trendcenter. The brand recognition in Germany increases to 27 %.


Parador celebrates its 25-year anniversary together with its customers.

In the same year, the Parador end user brand is re-positioned. The "Dream of a room" (ROOM OF YOUR DREAMS) campaign is promoted with TV ads on German television. Parador wins a place among the TOP 100 most innovative medium-sized companies in Germany.


Parador enters a joint venture with Gebrüder Meyer Parkettindustrie GmbH in Güssing.

Parador is the first company in the industry to introduce an interactive website. The brand recognition in Germany is at 18%.


New sales channel:

Parador extends its distribution network and is now also available in DIY stores. A world premiere, an engineered wood floor with automatic click system, is added to the flooring range.


Parador becomes an end user brand with the "My world" campaign.


Parador enters the production of laminate floors.


Unique to the industry: introduction of the first computer-aided planning tool for the trade and end customers. The ParaCom planning program is born.


Parador builds a marketing centre at its Coesfeld site, intended as a fixed institution for the trade and end customers. Parador hereby commits itself to a consistent brand policy.


The first agency-backed end consumer campaign goes on air.


The EBS furniture range, a furniture system following a modular principle, is successfully launched.


Parador offers its dealers planning support for designing point of sale for the first time.


The company Parador is founded in Coesfeld. First innovation: Parador produced the panel with the rounded edge.
