Konstantin Grcic

One of the most influential designers of the current day designs for Parador.


Konstantin Grcic was born in Munich in 1965 and is seen as one of the most influential German designers of the present day. After learning to be a cabinet maker he studied at the Royal College of Art in London and later founded his own design firm in Munich. Grcic principally designs exclusive furnishing objects and furniture. He is known among other things for his unusual chairs and seats as well as his “Mayday” lamp made of polypropylene, which in 2001 was accepted into the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
